Dr. Acharya seeks blessings of Swamiji
05 August 2009 : The Samithi members met Dr. V S Acharya , on 28th of July at his residence and invited him to take blessings of Parama Poojya Sri Sri Sachidananda Jnaneshwara Bharathi Mahaswamiji, of Sri Jnaneshwari Peeta situtated at Karki.
Presently, the 24th Chaturmasa Vratha Sankalpa and Vyaasapooja is being held by Swamiji at Bangalore.
When invited by the samithi Dr.Archaya, Minister for Home (Govt. of Karnataka ) happily agreed to attend the function and take the blessing of Swamiji.
On 5/8/2009 Wednesday, about 3.45pm Dr. Acharya came to Sri Jnaneshwari Kalyana Mahal,Dr Rajkumar Road,Rajajinagar, Bangalore where the chatura maasa vartha is being held and received the blessings of Swamiji. Mr. Nagesh Vitallkar, former chairman of the Karnataka Kahadi and Village Industries,Bellary of Hollolu village, did the inaugural speech for the function and welcomed Dr. Acharya. and all the Daivajna bhandavs from all over India.
In the inaugural speech, Mr. Vittalkar pleaded Dr. Acharya to bring the Daivajna Brahmin community forward. And also pleaded to establish some educational institutions to be run by the Daivajna samaja. On behalf of the daivajna samaj
and also the grace of the swamiji, he prayed to the God to give a chance to Dr. Acharya to become chief minsister of Karnataka. He also brought to notice that there is no representation od Daivajna Brahmins in assembly or council or lok sabha or raja shabha, even in the taluk and jilla panchayat. Also there are no IAS and IPS officers in our community. He urged Acharya to help the community to get representation in these positions.

Mr. Mohan Shet presided over the function. Mr. V.S. Govindappa, BJP leader from Bellary, Ramu Raikar and Mr. Shivaji Shet from Bangalore also shared the dais.
Swamiji blessed Arhaya in form of prasad ,garland and shwal.In his speech Dr. Acharya promised to consider the requests from the daivajna Brahmin community and try his best to fulfil them. The function which was attend by hundereds of Daivajna Bhandavas ended with in 45 minutes as Dr. Acharya had to leave for Delhi
